Nuance Notes

June, 2014

We just blended our 2012 Rutherford Cabernet and are pleased with how this wine has developed since the last barrel-tasting.  Our first Rutherford vintage, the 2012 is a great addition to our Cab line-up.  It’s medium-bodied, approachable, and balanced.  It will rest in the barrel until our mid-July bottling and Fall release.

Until then, we have plenty of inventory on hand for your summer wine needs!  If you’re in the greater Bay Area, call or e-mail and we’ll be happy to deliver it to your door so you can save on the shipping.  The  four vintages we have available to enjoy now are:

2012 Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast–It was an ideal growing season for Chard grapes and we’re getting rave reviews as the fruit shines through this crisp, lively wine.

2011 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley–This balanced, full-bodied Zin is from old vines in the Dry Creek Valley. Hints of mocha and spice make it special.

2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley–The red fruit-driven grapes of our popular ’08 St. Helena vineyard were combined with black fruit-dominated Soda Canyon grapes for this special blend.

2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Oak Knoll–We returned to a favorite vineyard that produced our ’09 vintage.  The ’11 is balanced, yet lively, and a great all-around wine with food.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
